September 23: David Kirschman, M.D.
About Dr. Kirschman:
Dr. David Kirschman is a storied local serial entrepreneur with multiple exits. A neurosurgeon who holds over 80 issued patents for a wide range of medical devices, he has extensive experience in medical device development and corporate leadership. Dave’s ventures include X-spine Systems, a global spinal implant company (now Xtant Medical); Orthophor, a global manufacturer of surgical irrigation products (now part of BD); Aerobiotix, a surgical suite/room air sterilization solution (operating out of Miamisburg); and now Orthomod, his latest venture, which is creating novel orthopedic biomaterials. Dave will talk about the paths his ventures have taken, the pros and cons of living with and without investors, and the lessons learned along the way.
